To help launch “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” we looked for an irreverent way to introduce the laundry list of sports celebrities that appear on the show daily. It’s an irreverent introduction for an irreverent show.
We decided to catapult these celebrities as they appear on a TV towards a target – only to have them crash to the ground midway through their introduction. The pyramid at the end with televisions landing on top of the target symbolizes the huge collection of people who have appeared on target. No farm animals were hurt in the filming of this production.
As the caravan moves towards the launching site, people along the way recognize that they have an opportunity to add their suggestions. People are shown trying to ante up their TV with the celebrities they would like to see on the show. This is a pied piper concept where a caravan featuring a catapult moves towards a site.
